First Steps Quality Mark

The Rock is very proud to have achieved an Ambition First Steps Quality Mark. The mark shows that we are working to high standard with all correct policies and procedures in place. As well as being a place where our young people love to go!

Trips

    We have 2 trips coming up in February Half Term, our juniors are going to the Life Centre in Newcastle on 20th Feb and our Seniors are visiting Energi Trampoline Park on 25th Feb. These have been funded by Cumbria County Council and St Kentigern’s Church, Mungrisdale.

Golden Apple Awards

We were nominated and shortlisted for a CN media Golden Apple Award in education for the youth award. The award ceremony was 7th Oct and unfortunately we didn’t win however we were very proud to be shortlisted. Congratulations to Carlisle Youth Zone who did win.

Sport England Funding

We have been given funding form Sports England to run sports sessions. We are starting these off in the summer holidays Wed 3rd Aug-1-2.30pm Badminton & Tennis Wed 10th Aug-1-2.30pm Rounders Wed 17th Aug-1-2.30pm Football Wed 23rd Aug-1-2.30pm Dodgeball

Shout for Summer

ON 28th July we have a shout for summer event at Hammonds Pond 5-8pm. It costs 50p per child and all under 18’s must have a consent form signed, under 10’s must have an adult with them at all times.
