Who We Are
We’re an experienced team of youth workers who care deeply about the young people we support. Based just off Scalegate Road in Currock Carlisle, and offering outreach work across the community. Our main site sits right in the heart of the Currock community.
From here and from our second location at Petteril Bank Community Hall we run a range of sessions designed to meet young people where they’re at, giving them opportunities to grow, learn, and feel heard.
What We Do
We run free youth clubs and activities five days a week, making sure every young person has access to positive opportunities, no matter their background.
Our sessions are split and include:
-
Juniors
-
Teens
-
Home Ed Sessions
- Older Teens
Each session is packed with things young people actually enjoy, including:
-
Free food
-
Sports and games
-
Cooking
-
Arts and crafts
-
Social action projects
-
Chill-out space to relax and chat
Everything we do is designed to be fun, engaging, and empowering while also helping young people build confidence, friendships, and life skills.
What Is Youth Work?
Youth work is all about supporting young people to grow into confident, resilient, and independent individuals.
It’s not school and it’s not just childcare. It’s about empowering young people to shape their own futures, in a space where they feel respected, supported, and valued.
At The Rock, that means:
-
Giving young people a safe space to express themselves
-
Building trusted relationships with supportive adults
-
Helping them make positive choices
-
Encouraging them to try new things and believe in their potential. You can sign up your child to become a member of The Rock Youth Project – HERE

Support Us
The Rock Youth Project is a self-funded charity, which means everything we do relies on the kindness and support of our community.
We’re incredibly proud to offer all of our sessions completely free, ensuring every young person can access a safe, supportive space, no matter their circumstances.
We simply couldn’t do this without the generosity of local businesses, funders, and individuals who believe in what we do.
By supporting The Rock, you’re helping us continue to empower young people, provide opportunities, and keep our doors open for those who need it most.
Whether it’s through donations, partnerships, or fundraising, every bit of support makes a real difference. You can donate to us via just giving or email us info@therockyouthproject.co.uk to learn more about supporting us
💛 Together, we can keep youth work free, accessible, and life-changing.
